I was recently turned on to the idea of “Extreme Sports Events.” I’m not talking about the X-games or something easy like that…

If you check out badwater.com, you will learn about something called the Ultra Marathon. What is the Ultra Marathon, you ask? Well, it’s a 135 Mile race across Death Valley.

AdventureCORPS, an event production firm specializing in ultra-endurance and extreme sports events, will host the 30th Kiehl’s Badwater Ultramarathon on July 23-25, 2007. A true “challenge of the champions,” this legendary foot race pits approximately up to 90 of the world’s toughest athletes–runners, triathletes, adventure racers, and mountaineers–against one another and the elements. Covering 135 miles (217km) non-stop from Death Valley to Mt. Whitney, CA in temperatures up to 130F (55C), it is the most demanding and extreme running race offered anywhere on the planet.

You can sign me up in the “FUCK THAT” devision!

OK, but seriously, what an incredible shot. Figure this out… first, get one ball spinning down the lane and not falling in to the gutter. Then, throw another ball, don’t hit the first one and knock down exactly 9 pins. Now, with the spinning ball, hit the remaining 1 pin. SICK!

I’ve spent many an afternoon on the beach. Normally, we throw rocks or beer bottles at the sea gulls in order to frighten them off. This guy has found a completely new way of dealing with them.
